Last Years Campaigns

So far this year we have done some great things below are some of our successes:

* creating an access guide to pubs, clubs and venues in Manchester with details of aspects that would impact on an individuals ability to use the venue e.g. flashing/strobe lighting, accessible toilet, table service.

* societies have been given training about the importance of accessibility in their events and socials

* the Union building itself is going through a refurb with a lot of issues that impact disabled students being fixed and improved!

* Disabled Students Week was a great success with two BBC disabled comics doing a really exciting and well attended event

 

Current Campaigns

This year we are hoping to make lots of positive changes for Disabled Students. See below for some of the exciting things we will be changing:

* Improving the amount of disabled car parking spaces on campus
